Ever since emoji came into our existence, I have been a fond user of them. Like many others, I use emoji as a visual equivalent of typography.

Emoji have a high level of recognizability thanks to their universal accessibility. I enjoy using this rich visual language to create new narratives by compiling, extending or morphing these well-known characters.

For these emojillustrations I worked with Apple's Color Emoji font.
Thanks to its transparent glyphs, I have a simple tool at hand to work with in my collages.
